This job offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute in the innovation design development and life cycle management of Baxters Renal products.You will be responsible for developing creative solutions to challenging issues associated with the design development and sustaining engineering for our new and existing Renal product portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid hands-on technical abilities an excitement and energy for product development and a passion for their work and the impact it has on saving and sustaining lives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good processes and best practices. The activities will encompass all facets and phases of software development & test and life cycle management meeting all regulatory and quality standards to realize complex innovative reliable systems that improve the quality of life for people around the world.Lead a set of components within the sub-system and drive the end2end responsibility for the same including optimization unit and integration testing SW risk and reliability analysis root cause analysis etcDesign and Develop core platform features independently with high quality and able to mentor/coach other junior people in the team to drive outcomesResponsible for the design & development of the subsystem features/modules that would include activities like proposing the design alternatives organizing the reviews provide workload estimation design documentation performing peer code review & continuous updates to the Platform Leader on the progress.Collaborate with other team members & engineering functions & ensure the requirements interfaces are designed & implemented seamlesslyResponsible for rapid prototyping of highly innovative concepts for concept/feasibility testing.Qualifications QualificationsGraduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science or related Engineering and 06 - 10 years of experience with embedded or device software development. Prior experience in Renal device domain is a plus.A demonstrated track record in embedded software development preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products such as military hardware.A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g. SDLC IEC 62304 CMMI Agile).Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues both verbally and in written form.A proven track record of effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.Experience in algorithms code optimization encryption multiple language supportC C AssemblyAbility to work in a Linux development environmentARM / AVR processor developmentExperience in embedded RTOS developmentExperience with USB Ethernet RS232 communications protocolsExperience with sensor samplingAbility to develop boot loader code for microcontrollersDebugging software/hardware using logic analyzer or OscilloscopeFPGA programming skills would be a plusKnowledge in JAVA and Python would be a plusIntel embedded X86 development a plusWorking level knowledge with standards such as IEC 62366 IEC 60601 ISO 13485 and ISO14971 would be a plus.A Career That MattersBaxters employees are united in a mission to save and sustain lives.
