• Role Summary:The GEHC Digital team at Bangalore is tasked with building the next generation applications for GE Healthcare. We are looking to hire a Software developer responsible for programming a component feature and or feature set. He/ she should work independently and contribute to the immediate team. Contributes to design discussions.Essential Responsibilities:Develop code and unit tests to build the UI and back-end services for the application. Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary. Demonstrate the ability to help team members through pair programming and code reviews. Demonstrates awareness about product positioning and differentiation Has the ability to evaluate basic technology choices and articulate trade-off Applies principles of SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP/TDD/CI/CD methodologies to deliver high quality secured and scale-able software modules. Skilled in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science Technology Engineering and Math) 3-4 years of professional experience with Web technologies (HTML5 node.js JSON Angular) Design Patterns and OOAD Javascirpt Typescript Experience in building Cloud Applications preferably on Azure Experience in one of the core stack such as C# .Net or Java J2EE Experience using tools like Eclipse/Visual Studio/Webstorm VSTS Experience with unit testing using Karma/ Jasmine or JUnit/NUnit Experience in Agile development practices: Test Driven Development (TDD) and Scrum Experience of delivering to a continuous delivery model Experience in WebServices using SOAP and RESTful frameworksDesired Characteristics:Working knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD)Strong oral and written communication skills.Effective problem identification skills.About Us:GE (NYSE:GE) drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges.
