Software Engineer – Data Integration

Job Description

• As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design analytics development coding testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all you’ll be working with and sharing ideas information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
• This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities including:
• • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• • Advanced knowledge of application data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• • Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
• • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages - Java plugins JavaScript and React JS to style
• • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis development maintenance and software improvement
• Strong T-shaped Actimize developer needed by JPMC Wealth Management for all new custom model development on following 3 new cutting edge Actimize platforms. We need a foundational person to fill this brand new role on a new and growing team. The developer will be a scrum team member co-located with the product owner. They develop a cutting edge Actimize models and test. They follow agile methods. They leverage their web data and J2EE skills. In addition the developer will help with architecture and design analytics deployments UAT support and production support. If the developer has talent and interest we have management opportunity.
• CUTTING EDGE UX: Our goal is to provide a UX similar to the iPad to minimize the time spent disposing of alerts. We make extensive use of Java plugins JavaScript and React JS to style wrap and replace the out-of-the-box Actimize screens. We integrate with other apps via a JavaScript pub/sub framework. We use RCM 5.11.
• CUTTING EDGE ANAYLTICS: Our goal is to raise alerts only for true issues. We use supervised machine learning to create extremely accurate alerts. We combine behavioral analytics text mining LinkedIn-style network data market data and trade data and run multiple machine learning algorithms to generate alerts. We use Spark and MLib. We use AIS 4.21 for all custom model development leveraging all the most powerful features.
• CUTTING EDGE PROCESS
• We use 100% purest Scrum. Co-located tech team. Continuous deployment to production as individual JIRAs complete. Automated testing. Demos to the business for every JIRA. Full-on DevOps. All T-shaped developers. No business analysts. Flat organization without hierarchical constraints.
• Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 9+ years technology experience
• J2EE/Spring/Core Java
• JavaScript especially ReactJS
• Detail oriented
• Ownership mentality
• Quick learner
• Additional Helpful Qualifications:

• Securities industry experience
• Scrum
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Unix scripting and CA AutoSys
