Software Developer Engineer - Big Data

Job Description

• What will you be doing? - Participate in the full development life cycle working within broadly defined parameter - Own the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application and serve as a technical lead on small to midsize complex projects - Writing high quality code participating in code reviews designing/architecting systems of varying complexity and scope and creating high quality documentation supporting the design/coding tasks - Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments - Build software solutions where the problem is not well defined. Designs and defines the interaction between the other component pieces - Participating in team meetings stand-ups and architecture/design discussions. - Identify areas of improvement in our frameworks tools processes and strive to make them better - Participate in the roadmap definition for the team - Define SOPs for the services and take systems to cloud Who are we looking for ?- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience- 6+ years- experience building successful production software system- A solid understanding of in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field)- Experience developing web services BIG data systems distributed computing and an understanding of design for scalability performance and reliability- Mastery of the tools and languages including a variety of modern programming languages (Java Perl/Ruby SCALA) and technologies (Hadoop Spring NoSQL search engines and Apache open source tools)- Excellence in technical communication with peers Why should you join us ?Clustr is building a technology platform that is akin to nothing that currently exists.
