Data Engineer - Tech Supply Team - R/visualization

Job Description

• About the Role : - Perform design creation interpretation and management of large datasets to achieve business / analytics goals - Perform data updates indexing and maintenance in application database - Help to implement new data management projects and re-structure of the current data architecture - Process and update third party data sources - Identify and solve issues concerning data management to improve data quality - Design and develop scalable ETL packages from the business source systems - Develop ETL routines in order to populate databases from sources and also to create aggregates - Enable and run data migrations across different databases and different servers - Troubleshoot data issues within the business and across the business and presents solutions to these issues . Educational Qualification :- Minimum of Bachelors Degree (Computer Science Applied Mathematics Statistics Industrial Engineering).- Masters degree preferred.Must have skills :- Excellent R programming skills + SQL + SAP HANA- Dashboard Visualization- Client facing experience- Experience with SAP or/and IOT- Excellent communication skills as the DE will be interacting with global set ot partners and vendors.- Excellent articulation no MTI- Good presentation skills and thought process.Experience :- Ideal candidate would have 6+ years-working experience as a database support personnel or a database administrator or ETL developer and administrator within a fast-paced a complex business setting- Should have very good perspective on tradeoffs involved in design considerations- Should have a broad exposure to different data technologies and pros and cons of choosing one over the other- Experience in the creation and debugging of databases critical to the businesss mission- System management expertise with monitoring disaster recovery backup automated testing automated schema migration and continuous deployment- Experience working with large and complex data sets as well as experience analyzing volumes of data- Experience working with MySQL databases and Microsoft SQL- Should have strong perspective on how to create Data-as-a-Service internally in the organizationTechnical Skills :- Ability to develop complex queries using Teradata MS SQL Server My SQL and similar platforms and tune them for performance- Good idea of database administration- Ability to design build and maintain the businesss ETL pipeline- Strong Python / R and Shell scripting- Prior domain experience in CPG and beverage industry preferred.Business Skills :- Analytical Problem-Solving: Approaching high-level data challenges with a clear eye on what is important; employing the right approach/methods to make the maximum use of time and human resources.- Effective Communication: Carefully listening to management data analysts and relevant staff to come up with the best data design; explaining complex concepts to non-technical colleagues.- Industry Knowledge: Understanding the way your chosen industry functions and how data are collected analyzed and utilized; maintaining flexibility in the face of big data developments.Behavioral Competencies :- Executes with discipline- Leads by example- Thinks big and takes on challenges- Has impact and influence- Anchor Acts as an owner- Outstanding verbal written and visual presentation skills.
