Our data pipelines crunch terabytes of data every hour from hundreds of sources processing views clicks and conversions using state of the art algorithmic models which then gets used to make smart bids offer performance based billing to the advertiser detect fraud and match the right user to the advertiser. We develop code using a variety of programming languages and frameworks - Ruby Python Scala Go AngularJS and C++ to name a few Website:www.applift.com Location : Bangalore Experience:2-5years Your Responsibilities: You are extremely technical and passionate about building systems that handle large amounts of data (100s of Terabytes) You make architectural decisions and take accountability for them. Evaluate and evangelize tools and technologies required to improve data processing systems and engineering productivity You work at all levels of the data stack from low-level disk-IO optimization to high-level distributed data flows You promote best practices around data representation sanitization retrieval storage and processing at scale You are an individual contributor but also serves as a mentor for more junior engineers. Our requirements: At-least 2+ years of experience working with Big Data technologies on linux stack. Examples include Hadoop related technologies Pig Kafka Storm Spark etc. Prior experience in handling TBs of data in both real-time and batch manner Prior experience in using No-SQL stores (eg: Redis AeroSpike) and building indexes for low-latency retrieval Strong programming experience in at least one language preferably Java or Go.
