• Lead ETL Developer - Pentaho Suite (5-8 yrs) The Client : - They are a start up based in Myanmaar. They provide financial technology solutions for microfinance institutions to collect manage and analyze data needed to run effective operations and to manage risks. - They work on providing critical regulatory technology bringing direct benefits to both the financial industry and regulators. - They provide data visualization tools that collect aggregated financial data pulled and consolidated from MFIs allowing regulators to gather monitor and analyze data with greater ease. Position : Analyst - ETL/Report Developer - Lead Location : Bangalore Experience : 5 to 8 years Joining : Immediate - 15 days (Candidates with non-negotiable notice period >30 days will not be considered) Technical Domain Required : MySQL or MSSql and Pentaho Kettle Domain preferred : Financial Services or Retail The Role : - As ETL/Report Developer you will in collaboration with stakeholders design and develop custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards metrics reports and ETL processes required to support these. - In addition to report and ETL projects you will help create stored procedures/scripts to help migrate data build ODS and automate launching of new database/application instances. - You will be responsible for the entire development life cycle for these projects including QA support troubleshooting monitoring and bug fixes. Job Responsibilities Include : - Collaborates with end users in the design and development of custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards metrics and reports. - Analyzes and evaluates end users reporting needs and translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications. - Builds ETL processes for cleansing staging migrating data from various sources to data warehouse. - Write unit test scripts and perform QA for various processes/procedures. - Write scripts and modularised stored procedures to automate tasks and setting up applications. - Work effectively both as a member of a team and independently; lead a small team to achieve project goals - Will be go to person for any queries related to MySQL and Pentaho suite - Researches and conducts analysis in support of resolution of production issues. - Documents activities including user requests specifications development modification testing and on-going production and go-live event support. - Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities and approach each problem in a logical and analytical manner with high degree of perseverance; produce definitive statement of the issues and identification of alternative solutions the recommended course of action and the consequence of the decision. - Collaborates in daily scrum meetings and takes charge of managing your tasks for your projects. - Other technical duties as needed. Qualifications & Experience : - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related technical field required. - Expert knowledge of Pentaho Suite (kettle bi server reporting BI suite) - Expert knowledge of data integration data warehouse and RDMS (at least one of these Azure Database Aurora MySQL SQL server or Oracle) - Minimum of 4 years progressively responsible experience with SQL programming reporting methodologies and development of Business Intelligence dashboard design development and deployment required - A minimum of 2 yrs as a Team Lead or Manager who is also hands-on with own projects - Proven record of data cleansing logging implementing ETL processes and interfaces - Knowledge of automated test suite or unit testing - Familiarity with Cloud (Azure AWS etc.) technologies - Experience with release cycles and creating release documents - Have web application programming background and Object-Oriented Programming - Have worked with open source technologies - such as Tomcat Apache Jira etc. - Independent a quick learner and familiar with agile methodologies - Excellent analytical organisation problem-solving communication and customer service skills required. - Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities required. - Accommodate work schedule and works flexible hours to meet crucial project deadlines as required. - Ability to work as a member of a team as well as individual contributor required. - Keeps abreast of industry standards and development best practices
