Description
Senior Consumer Risk Data Analysts on the Data Infrastructure & Engineering team are responsible for identifying relevant data elements running analysis to transform and enrich the data and constructing optimally designed data products to be used in analysis and/or operational risk decisions. The candidate must exhibit a thorough understanding of data structures data manipulation and data quality management. In addition the candidate must have a solid understanding of CCB businesses functions systems data environments and processes that are necessary for the production and utilization of customer data.
The candidate must have the ability to partner with stakeholders inside and outside of the department to understand their needs and design and develop robust analytical data solutions that meet and/or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess JPM institutional data and system knowledge technical skills an understanding of data science and a commitment to producing high quality results.
The candidate must have an educational background in Computer Science Information system Software Engineering or a related discipline. In addition the candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with seven years of experience or a Master’s degree with five years of experience.
Required Skills
• 7+ years of experience in risk data management business analysis or business reporting
•A strong desire to learn how performance is measured across the various businesses we support
•Expert in SQL Unix and at least one of: SAS R Hive SparkSQL Sqoop or other query languages
•Experience in SQL tuning data validation ETL process as well as logical physical and semantic data modeling
•Experience working in large-scale corporate data environments resolving inconsistencies and challenges in the data
•Experience working with enterprise databases such as Oracle DB2 and Teradata
•Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Must have ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines and be comfortable manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data
•Expert knowledge of the business lending lifecycle
