• The CPU Performance Modeling and Architecture team at AMD Bangalore is looking for enginee with MS or PhD with 0 to 5 yea of relevant experience to work on AMDs next generation processor microarchitecture development. The peon will be part of AMDs highly experienced team of enginee working on processor performance modeling and microarchitecture development and will work closely with AMDs CPU and SOC performance architects on next generation CPU designs
• Skill set needed: Strong knowledge of computer architecture with good experience of working and developing microarchitectural timing simulator, C programming
• Beside architecture and C programming knowledge, if the candidate has one or more of the following, thatll be a big plus
• Workloads characterization, program analysis, benchmarking using actual hardware performance counte or different tools
• Knowledge of python or some other scripting language,,Verilog/VHDL,x86 assembly language programming,Job description: The peon will be working closely with AMDs processor architects and performance architects. The work involves,Exploring microarchitectural ideas and evaluating them for AMDs future processo,Modeling various micro-architectural features on simulator and evaluating their performance
• Developing tests to measure performance on simulator, actual hardware and RTL,Benchmark characterization and bottleneck analysis on different hardware platforms
