The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions.The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital Big data analytics Robotics & Machine Learning.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for platform engineering and configuration supporting development testing and implementation of applications and ETL for Big Data technology stack for.Apply best practices for big data platform especially in the areas of Configuration Management platform management solutioning and Hadoop ServicesAutomate and develop common capabilities and tools to manage and use the Big Data Development platformsEnsure compliance with firmwide risks and controls framework. Identify gaps and remediate.Design develop implement and support on-going Cloudera platform ingestion processing and consumption activities Collaboratively identify and document the dependencies to support control and audit processes Troubleshoot issues related to consumption of data in Hadoop ecosystemMaintain awareness of new / emerging technologies and their potential application to existing or future service offerings.Promote and cultivate team spirit and culture across the global team built on open communication collaboration teamwork trust and integrityEstablish relationships with business partners understand business processes and promote business unit interestsProactively identify opportunities to streamline integrated job workflows implement automation and monitoring solutionsPrepare and present the regular management updatesQualifications 6 years experience in big data platform engineering and configuration activities 2 years of experience with software engineering and automation 2 years of hands-on working experience with Hadoop Python Java Apache Sentry AD LDAP SSO Kerberos SQL Yarn scheduling Very good understanding of Hadoop security and access management Good working knowledge of developing and delivering solutions compliant with enterprise risks and controls Implementing professional software engineering practices implementing automated CI/CD environment leveraging DevOps best practices Ability to dive into details and troubleshoot technical issues Good experience with UNIX Shell Scripting Control-M and Python Experience of working on the projects for end-to-end migration of EDW on relational databases to modern data architecture leveraging Big data technologies Experience of working on high performance geo-diverse team. Ability to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to team effectively Strong verbal and written communication skills
